On Campus

Have you ever had a problem with alcohol or drugs but no longer do? Are you in recovery from addiction or interested in recovery from addiction? Maybe you’re sober curious and would like to talk to someone about it?  If so, then Forward Leeds on Campus is here for you!

Forward Leeds on Campus is a new service created to support university students and staff in recovery. Some say connection is the opposite of addiction. Whether it’s through our one-to-one support, mutual aid or sober socials, we aim to come together and build a community that can support each other in maintaining an abstinent lifestyle in higher education.

What we can offer?

  • Drop in’s for students and staff to take a break from the lecture room for a friendly chat and helpful support
  • SMART recovery meetings on campus
  • Peer support groups on campus
  • Twice monthly sober socials
  • Support in signposting to different recovery support meetings and sober groups in the local community
  • Recovery seminars

Please note that currently we are only based in Leeds Trinity University and The University of Leeds. If you attend Leeds Beckett University or Leeds Arts University, please contact amelia.clark@forwardleeds.co.uk to see what support we can offer you.

Useful information

There have been recent concerns that dangerous synthetic opioids such as nitazenes are contaminating other illicit drugs. This includes opiates like heroin but also ketamine benzodiazepines sold as Xanax, Valium, alprazolam and a range of other drugs. Read more on our dedicated nitazenes information and advice page.
