5 WAYS DayHab

Here to help those who:

  • Are ready to embrace life substance-free but need some extra support to keep the momentum going
  • Have commitments that make it hard to go to a residential rehab
  • Have found boredom or lack of routine led them back to old habits in the past

The timetable of 5 WAYS Activities

Groups, courses and activities are now a blend of face-to-face at 5 WAYS or online through Zoom. For details of the current and forthcoming adult learning courses, contact 5 WAYS or speak to your worker.

Mondays

10.30 – 12.30 SMART Recovery – at 5 WAYS
Open and confidential mutual support meeting including evidence-based techniques.

2.30 – 4.00 Exploring Recovery – online Zoom Meeting
Structured session with a different topic each week.

2.00 – 4.00 Community Learning – at 5 Ways

Tuesdays

10.30 – 12.30 Good Responses to Bad Feelings – at 5 WAYS (advance booking necessary)
Exploring feelings that come up in your recovery and how to deal with them differently.

10.30 – 12.30 Learning To Live Again – at 5 WAYS
Join the gang for fun activities in the community.

1.30 – 3.30 Walking Check-in – from 5 WAYS
A gentle walk from 5 WAYS to a nearby green space and a chance to get to know others in recovery.

1.30 – 3.00 Sporting Your Recovery – from 5 WAYS
Join the Dayhab members in a trip to Armley Leisure Centre sports hall for some fun games (badmintion, quick cricket, and more).

2.00 – 4.00 Online Zoom Meeting – either Mind Your Head online mindfulness techniques, or Recovery Tracks music-sharing group, on alternate weeks.

4.00 – 4.30 Guided Mindfulness

Wednesdays

11.00 – 1.00 Men’s Group – at 5 WAYS
A safe space for men to come together and talk openly about feelings and issues.

1.00 – 1.40 Welcome to 5 Ways
Tour of 5 Ways and a chance to find out about how we can support you.

2.00 – 4.00  Which Way Now – at 5 WAYS
Which Way Now explores a breadth of issues to help participants move from detox into recovery.

4.00 – 4.30 Guided Mindfulness

Thursdays

10.00 – 12.00 Art Group – relaxed volunteer-leed art group, various media, all abilities welcome.

11.00 – 1.00 Making Changes – a solution-focused group for setting goals and moving forward.

12.00 – 1.00 Improvisation – at 5 WAYS
Come and have a laugh, and build confidence and trust.

1.30 – 3.30 Women’s Group – at 5 WAYS
Empowerment for women with holistic and emotional wellbeing.

3.30 – 5.00 – 5-a-side Ways – a casual football session at Powerleague Leeds Central. Either meet at 5 Ways to walk down or meet at Powerleague at 4.00.

6.30 – 8.00 Online Evening Check-in – Zoom Meeting

Fridays

10.00 – 12.00 Crafts Group – relaxed volunteer-leed crafting group, all abilities welcome.

10.30 – 1.00 Community Learning – at 5 WAYS

2.00 – 4.00 Focus on Recovery – at 5 WAYS
This is a self help group and safe space to come and connect and seek solutions to any ongoing issues.
