The Armley Hub’s opening hours are
From Leeds city centre you can take either the 72, 15, X6 or X11 bus.
The hub is opposite Wilko and Tesco Express.
The entrance is at the rear of Armley Park Court where you will also find limited car parking.
If you are coming by car, access to the car park is at the end of Cecil Road so for SatNav purposes you should use the postcode LS12 2AL.
Armley Groups and Activities
Surfing the Urge – 1pm-2.30pm
This group is specifically aimed at helping clients on opiate replacement prescriptions who struggle with the occasional urge to use.
Taking Control – 11.30am-1.15pm
A solution focussed and goal orientated group helping clients to reduce their alcohol use. Participants work towards their individual goals, support each other to find practical solutions to problems, celebrate successes and get setbacks into perspective.
Relationships and Recovery – 10am-12pm (starting soon)
A 12-week closed group to develop skills and awareness to help you develop better, healthier and safer relationships with partners, ex-partners, children and families
SMART Recovery – 3.30pm- 5pm
SMART helps individuals seeking abstinence from addictive behaviours to gain independence, achieve recovery and lead meaningful and satisfying lives. The approach is secular and science based; using motivational, behavioural and cognitive methods. For more information visit the SMART website
Rehab prep – 2pm-3pm (at 5-Ways for rehab clients only)
A closed group to provide information and support for people who have decided to access residential rehab.
SNAP Clinic (Sports Nutrition and Performance) – 5pm-7pm
A free and confidential drop-in clinic for anyone wanting advice from a health professional on sports performance and nutrition. Information and advice is also given to anyone using performance and image enhancing drugs (PIED’s)
Get up and Go! – 9.30am–11.30am
Want to get more active but need some motivation? Why not just switch off your television set and go out and do something less boring instead? Like come to this group!
Preparing for Detox from opiates – 12.pm-1pm (appointment only)
This single session group explores why withdrawals happen and how to control them; an honest look at the pros and cons of each method, and the preparations you can make now to avoid relapse and support your long term recovery.
Mind Your Head Group – 2pm-3pm
Learn to become more mindful over the course of six short sessions. Paying more attention to the present moment and the world around you can improve your mental health instead of being on ‘automatic pilot’ or distracted by thoughts focussed in the past or future.
Which Way Now – 11am-1pm (run at 5 WAYS, open to all)
Made big changes to your alcohol or drug use already but not sure where to start planning the next step? Are you anxious about being able to stay abstinent after a detox, or worried that you don’t have the experience, confidence or support that you need to leave treatment? Which Way Now is a 3-month course that looks at all aspects of your recovery and the help that is available to get you where you want to be.
