Family Support Volunteer
Contract type: Part-Time volunteering Salary: n/a
This role will support the family plus team in a new and exciting Wellbeing Café targeted toward young people in Key Stage 3. We are looking for a motivated, confident and approachable volunteer to help plan and deliver a safe space for young people to attend. The volunteer will also support in the planning and delivery of school holiday activity sessions.
Tasks may include:
- Support the planning of Wellbeing Café sessions with staff.
- Support the delivery of Wellbeing Café sessions.
- Travelling to Wellbeing Café and other activity session venues.
- Support in the planning and delivery of school holiday activity sessions.
- Support young people in various activities, e.g., arts and crafts.
- Potential to support staff on home visits.
- Potential to shadow and support other members of the family plus team and other teams within Forward Leeds.
Volunteering Support Volunteer
Contract type: Part-Time Volunteering Salary: n/a
This role will support the volunteering team to develop and expand volunteering opportunities in Yorkshire, primarily in the student population. You will liaise with services to find potential volunteer vacancies and educate staff about the value of volunteering. You will also engage with people interested in volunteering to ensure that everybody is offered a chance to volunteer with us. This role requires proficiency in information technology and confidence in using Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Outlook, Word).
This role is a great opportunity for students to develop their people skills, and provides experience those interested in working in recruitment and outreach.
No Regrets Creative Contributor (Volunteer)
Contract type: Flexible, Part time, volunteer
We are looking for creative volunteers aged 18–25 to help shape No Regrets, Forward Leeds’ campaign around nightlife, alcohol, wellbeing and safer nights out in Leeds.
This role is ideal for students, young professionals, creatives or anyone interested in content creation, social media, design, photography, video, writing or public health campaigns. Volunteers will help contribute ideas, shape campaigns and create content that feels relevant and authentic to young adults across Leeds.
This is a flexible volunteer opportunity designed to help individuals gain experience, build confidence and develop portfolio work while contributing to meaningful public health messaging.

Young Persons Administrator
Contract type: Part time 22.2 hours per week (3 days). Monday and Wednesday are fixed working days, with the third working day to be agreed. Salary: £25,877 to £28,453.69 per annum pro rata Closing Date: 10 July 2026
Our Young People’s Service works with young people to reduce the impact of alcohol and drug use, improve wellbeing and help them achieve positive outcomes.
As a Young Persons Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the Service Manager and Senior Workers with the day-to-day administration of the service.
You’ll help ensure the smooth running of operations by managing referrals, tracking caseloads, maintaining accurate records and acting as the first point of contact for young people, families and professionals accessing or contacting the service.
Digital Communications Officer

Are you a strong communicator with experience in digital content and community engagement? Would you like to use your skills to support a service that helps people across Leeds?
In this role, you’ll help promote our alcohol and drug support service through engaging digital communications and marketing activity. You will also be part of the team creating city-wide public health campaigns around alcohol and drugs.
As Digital Communications Officer, you will:
- Create and edit digital content, including videos that share the experiences of people accessing our services.
- Develop your own social media and digital marketing campaigns to raise awareness of drug and alcohol-related issues and the support available.

Street Outreach Practitioner

Are you passionate about supporting people experiencing homelessness and helping them take the first steps towards recovery?
Join our Street Support Team at Forward Leeds and play a vital role in engaging people who are rough sleeping or involved in street-based begging and experiencing drug or alcohol issues.
This is a rewarding outreach role where you’ll build trusting relationships with some of the most vulnerable people in Leeds, helping them access treatment, improve their health and wellbeing, and move towards stable accommodation and long-term recovery.
No two days are the same. You’ll spend time out in the community alongside partner agencies, responding to need, offering practical support and helping people make positive changes that can transform their lives.
Focussed Intervention Alcohol and Substance Worker
Contract type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 Closing Date: 28 July 2026
As an alcohol and substance worker and member of the Focused Intervention Team, you will be at the forefront of the Forward Leeds drug and alcohol service. Your role will be to work with service users who identify as having problems with drugs (predominantly non-opiates) and alcohol, to deliver appropriate interventions in a time-bound manner.
You will also be required to promote the service and communicate advice and information to the general public through coordinated attendance at a wide range of city wide events, presentations to varied groups, one to one engagement, work within the night time economy and many other types of public interaction.

Recovery Coordinator Shared Care York Street Health Practice

This is an exciting opportunity to join Forward Leeds as a Recovery Coordinator within our Shared Care Team, based across York Street Health Practice and the Forward Leeds Kirkgate Hub.
York Street Health Practice provides specialist primary healthcare for people experiencing homelessness and those living in vulnerable or unstable housing. In this unique role, you’ll support adults with substance use needs alongside complex physical health, mental health and social challenges, helping them access treatment and build sustainable recovery.
Working primarily from the office across both sites, you’ll become an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with GPs, nurses, mental health practitioners, housing providers and partner agencies. You’ll also undertake occasional outreach visits to hostels, supported accommodation and other community settings to engage people who may struggle to access traditional services.
No two days are the same. You’ll combine clinical recovery work with assertive engagement, advocacy and practical support, helping people overcome barriers, reduce harm and move towards improved health, stability and independence.
Recovery Coordinator
Contract type: Full Time Salary: £25,877.80 to £34,240.03 Closing Date: 28 July 2026
As a Recovery Coordinator, you will provide 1:1 support for service users, from brief interventions through to structured treatment, including groups, ensuring that every recovery journey is tailored to individual needs and priorities.
You will take a holistic “whole person” approach, ensuring that each service user’s care package encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, supporting them to achieve the best possible outcomes and safe reintegration into the community.
What You’ll Do
- Managing a caseload, devising, implementing and reviewing ongoing recovery plans and treatment
- Carrying out triage/screening assessments and comprehensive assessments with service users
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies to undertake shared assessments, key working and interventions, supporting service user progression from engagement through to self-sustained recovery
- Facilitating service user access to treatment and community resources to increase recovery capital and social connections
- Using the online case management system, SystmOne, to effectively manage recovery planning, safeguarding and risk management processes
