New Funding Available to Grow Recovery in Leeds

Have an idea that could make a difference in recovery? Funding is available to help bring it to life.

The Leeds Recovery Capital Fund is back for another round of investment in the people, projects and ideas that make recovery visible, vibrant and accessible across our city.

Applications are now open for Round Eight, with grants of up to £5,000 available for initiatives that strengthen and celebrate recovery from issues with alcohol and/or drugs.

Since the fund started three years ago, it has supported a wide range of community-led projects, helping people turn innovative ideas into lasting opportunities for connection, wellbeing and growth.

To date, 20 grants have been awarded totalling £45,000, supporting activities that demonstrate the power of recovery in action. Previous recipients include:

From creative arts and community events to physical activity, skills development and peer support, funded projects have helped create more opportunities for people in recovery to connect, contribute and thrive.

What We’re Looking For

We want to hear from individuals, groups and organisations with ideas that will:

  • Strengthen the Leeds recovery community
  • Create opportunities for people in recovery
  • Reduce stigma and celebrate recovery
  • Build connections, skills and confidence
  • Leave a lasting positive impact

We would particularly welcome ideas from groups that are currently underrepresented, such as the LGBTQ+ community and people from ethnic minority communities in Leeds. Whether your idea is large or small, we’d love to hear how it could help make Leeds an even better place to recover.

The process is simple and straightforward. You can apply for up to £5,000 by telling us:

  • The name of your group, project or idea
  • How much funding you need
