The Young Person’s team deliver drug and alcohol-related interventions for young people (up to 21 years, or 24 years, depending on vulnerability) across Leeds. The team works on a predominantly outreach basis, delivering group work and one-one sessions in a variety of community settings, including school and home visits. This post will focus on the under 18’s cohort.
This role will focus on delivering targeted group work sessions, drop-ins, service user voice/influence and service promotion at events. This will be through local community events, city wide events and at other public facing venues and arenas. The candidate will need to be engaging and comfortable with approaching and talking to members of the public and delivering opportunistic brief interventions. Evening and occasional weekend work will be required.
