The Young Person’s team deliver drug and alcohol-related interventions for young people (up to 21 years, or 24 years, depending on vulnerability) across Leeds. The team works on a predominantly outreach basis, delivering one-one sessions in a variety of community settings, including school and home visits.
The role also includes delivering targeted group work sessions, drop-ins and service promotion at events. This will be through local community events, city-wide events and at other public-facing venues and arenas. The candidate will need to be engaging and comfortable with approaching and talking to members of the public and delivering opportunistic brief interventions. Evening and occasional weekend work will be required.
