This is an exciting role, based at 5 WAYS, the aftercare element of Forward Leeds.
The successful applicant will join a team of experienced group work facilitators and will be required to support adults leaving treatment, providing support through a range of group work interventions, encouraging peer support and various activities to support people moving forward into recovery.
You will specialise in delivering groups to people going through the criminal justice system who have been given an Alcohol Treatment Requirement (ATR) or a Drug Rehabilitation Requirement (DRR). You will also support groups coming out of prison to readjust back into society and help them achieve their goals.
- As directed by the service manager, you will be an integral member of a dynamic multi-agency team, using your abilities and skills to:
- Develop and deliver a range of group work interventions and activities
- Communicate effectively with a range of people
- Support service users to make decisions regarding their treatment & recovery
- Support service users to access resources and services to increase their recovery capital to help them achieve their recovery goal.
