The Young People’s Team at Forward Leeds is placed top among Core Cities in England for positive exits from treatment.
The latest figures show an incredible 98% of the under-18s they support finish their time with the service in a planned and positive way.
This is the second quarter of 2025/26 in a row when the service has topped the Core City rankings.
The figures reflect the team’s focus on early intervention, consistent engagement and close work with families, schools and partner agencies.
Over the past year, staff have continued to refine how they support young people experiencing difficulties with alcohol and drugs, ensuring that each young person has a clear plan and agreed goals from the outset.
Service Manager Nazia Latif said: “These results are a testament to both the team’s commitment and the young people themselves.
“We’re really pleased to see the impact of the work our team is doing reflected in these outcomes. A 98% positive exit rate shows that young people are staying engaged and completing their support in a meaningful way.
“What’s most important to us is that they leave with greater confidence and a clearer sense of direction. Our staff work hard to build trust and provide practical support that fits around each young person’s circumstances.”
Forward Leeds continues to work across the city to ensure that children and young people can access timely, appropriate support. The latest figures underline the value of a consistent, partnership-based approach to supporting young people in Leeds.
