For the second year Forward Leeds had a team in the Dragon Boat Races at the Leeds Waterfront Festival
Forward Leeds also had a stand and spoke to a range of visitors throughout the day answering questions about alcohol and drugs.
Kathryn Blackburn, who organised the day for Forward Leeds said: “For Forward Leeds being at these high profile city events is an important part of our awareness-raising work. We’re there to offer advice and information.”
“The Waterfront Festival also gives us an opportunity to bring together a team whose paths wouldn’t ordinarily meet on a day-to-day basis to take part in the Dragon Boat Races.

Forward Leeds came sixth from the 17 teams taking part in the Dragon Boat race competition.
Kathryn continued: “The Waterfront Festival is a favourite event of mine, the atmosphere is fabulous and the sun once more shone in our favour. Overall it was a hugely successful day.
“I think I can vouch for all the staff involved by saying that we had a lot of fun and I would personally like to extend my thanks to the staff who gave up their free time to take part.”
