Forward Leeds at the Recovery Walk

Forward Leeds will be organising  travel to the UK Recovery Walk in Blackpool on Saturday the 9th of September.

The focus of the UK Recovery Walk is a public education and outreach campaign that communicates by offering living proof of the reality of long-term addiction recovery.

Lee Wilson, Forward Leeds Area Manager said: “Once again, Forward Leeds is giving its full backing to the Recovery Walk”.

Lee continued: “It’s always a popular event for people in recovery, their friends, family, supporters and thousands of other people who understand exactly what they’ve been through.

“We’re taking along two coaches and we know that walkers – whether they be in recovery or are our own staff and volunteers – are really looking forward to this annual event.

“The Recovery Walk is a real high point in the calendar for so many people.”

Forward Leeds along with everyone else will be walking towards Blackpool Tower where there will be an open celebration of the joys of recovery with entertainment. To find out more or to book your place email: info@forwardleeds.co.uk or speak to a member of staff.
