We are seeking an experienced and passionate clinician to join our multidisciplinary team and play a key role in delivering safe, effective drug and alcohol treatment at our Kirkgate hub. This is an exciting opportunity to influence clinical practice, support staff development, and shape high-quality services that make a real difference in people’s lives.
As Clinical Site Lead you will work closely with hub managers and the Clinical Director to provide strong clinical leadership and ensure the consistent delivery of evidence-based, person-centred care. You will champion a holistic, “whole-person” approach to wellbeing, supporting service users not only with their substance use, but with all aspects of their health and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership within the hub and support effective integrated governance across the service.
- Collaborate with other site leads and the Clinical Services Director to ensure clinical continuity during staff absence or shortages.
- Supervise, support, and develop clinical staff through one-to-ones, appraisals, return-to-work processes, and mentoring of new clinicians.
- Facilitate smooth clinical pathways between local hospitals, primary care, and specialist services.
- Support recruitment, induction, training, appraisal, and, where appropriate, disciplinary or grievance procedures for clinical staff.
- Prescribe medication safely and in line with Waythrough’s medicines management policies and governance frameworks.
- Deliver person-centred health promotion and harm-reduction interventions.
- Ensure clinical consistency across services by adhering to national and local clinical standards and best practice guidelines.
