Main duties of this role are:
- To provide specialist assessment for patients referred by Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust (LTHT) who have coexisting physical, mental health and addiction problems.
- Provide a liaison role to LTHT, Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) and Forward Leeds for people that sit within any one of these services to ensure that they receive the best evidence-based treatment.
- To contribute to assisting individuals in addressing their alcohol and drug use, through the implementation of evidence-based psychosocial interventions and initiation of pharmacotherapies leading to referral to the wider Forward Leeds Service on discharge from hospital.
- Provide Specialist advice and support to LTHT staff, who are looking after patients with coexisting physical, mental health and addiction problems, during their presentation to Trust sites.
- Provide 7 day per week service (shifts include 1 weekend per month and occasional Bank Holiday cover)
