Recovery Coordinator (Armley-based)

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join Focused Intervention Team. The Focused Intervention Team supports service users who present with a range of substance misuse issues which includes non-dependent alcohol use and work specifically with service users with non-opiate substance misuse issues. As directed by the Team Manager, the Recovery Coordinator will be an integral member of the dynamic multi-agency team developing comprehensive and tailored individual interventions that will include delivery of a full range of structured, open access, one-to-one and group support.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

  • Manage a service user caseload and review on going care and treatment liaising closely with the full range of specialist workers within the multi-agency team, including family members and significant others, as appropriate.
  • To exercise excellent communication skills and therapeutic skills when dealing with Service Users, Carers, and Caring agencies.
  • Support Service Users to access resources and services to increase their Recovery Capital to help them achieve their Recovery goals and promote family, carer and Service User Involvement.
  • To lead in relation to on-going assessment, safeguarding, Risk assessment and Recovery Planning.
  • To work closely and in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team from across the partnership and externally and provide advice and guidance to managers and other colleagues, through attendance at reviews, team meetings and group supervision and via the telephone.
  • To provide effective coordination of the individuals Recovery Plan and promote family, Carer and Service User Involvement.
  • Carry out drug and alcohol screening and testing as required.
