Grow Together group begins its first full season

The Grow Together group is a permaculture and environmental gardening group created as joint project between Forward Leeds and Hyde Park Source.

The group is a part of the weekly planned activities at the Forward Leeds Recovery Academy and meets every Tuesday afternoon.

The course teaches participants to design and maintain “green-space” such as a garden or allotment so they can plant fruit, herbs and vegetables.

2017 will be the first year that the group will be able to plan and grow from the beginning of spring right through the year and reap the full benefits of all its hard work.

The word ‘permaculture’ comes from ‘permanent agriculture’ and ‘permanent culture’ – it is about living lightly on the planet, and making sure that we can sustain human activities for many generations to come.
