Forward Leeds work in partnership with a number of GP practices and health centres across the city to make services more accessible for people with alcohol issues.

We have workers that visit these surgeries on a weekly basis to assess new clients and offer follow up appointments.

These workers can help you access the full range of provision at Forward Leeds, and can be a good entry into our service. It may be that we need to transfer you to one of our main treatment hubs, however if you want to talk to one of our workers they would be able to advise you of the next steps forward.

In the South and East, and North NHS Clinical Commissioning Group areas of the city these workers will also see people with lower level drug use to be able to offer support and advice for them. These services are commissioned by and delivered in partnership with the Clinical Commissioning Groups .

You can find out if a Forward Leeds alcohol and drug worker is available at your local GP here.

Listen below to the clients for their feedback from seeing people within GP practices.
