Discussing parental alcohol and drug use
Aim:
This is a new, free training course from the Drug and Alcohol Coordinators who work in the Leeds City Council Early Help Hubs. Its main purpose is to give people a better understanding of the support on offer around substance misuse within the Early Help Hubs.
It will also offer professionals the chance to increase their confidence and skills in speaking to parents about their substance misuse and awareness of pathways to get additional support
It covers:
- How to start conversations with parents about drugs and alcohol.
- Confidence building for professionals.
- The impact of substance misuse on families.
- The support that the Alcohol and Drug Coordinators offer.
- How to refer in.
