Angela Clough, Administrator at Forward Leeds’s Kirkgate hub has won the service’s first monthly Outstanding Achievement Award.
Angela played a major role in the #BeFreeOfHepC testing in May, testing 82 people in one month for hepatitis C.
Angela said: “It’s amazing to be the first winner of this award. I’ve been at Forward Leeds since it started and I’ve watched how everyone has worked so hard to turn this into the fantastic service it is and it’s just nice to be a part of that.
“I’ve really enjoyed the testing month. It’s been a great chance to spend one to one time with our clients chatting and finding out more about them”
Angela has worked since Forward Leeds since it began in July 2015.
Area Manager Nick Rank said: “Many congratulations to Angela Clough our inaugural winner of this prestigious new award.”
“Throughout April and testing month in May, Angela consistently went above and beyond the requirements of her role. She was among the first to nominate herself for the blood training, delivered by The Hepatitis C Trust, and since then has set a record number of test completions for the Kirkgate hub
“Thanks again Ange for this Outstanding Contribution.”
Across the service, Forward Leeds tested 481 people in May. This was as part of a month-long campaign for increased testing called, ‘Be Free of Hep C’. The campaign is a collaboration between the Hepatitis C Trust and alcohol and drug services across England.
