“Wasted this Summer?” is the question from Forward Leeds
Wasted this summer is the title of a campaign aimed at helping people in Leeds to make wiser choices about their behaviour over the summer.
Forward Leeds are distributing leaflets, postcards and posters across the city with their messages on them and will also be sharing messages on social media with the hashtag #WastedSummer.
Suzanne Macklin Lead Practitioner of the Young People’s Team at Forward Leeds said: “The messages that we are trying to get out there aren’t about not having fun but about doing so in a way that is not putting yourself or anyone else at risk”.
Suzanne continued: “At summer parties and especially at festivals people can get carried away. We’re offering some practical advice to help people be clued up about what they are doing, so they can then make safer choices about alcohol and drugs.”
Hints and tips being offered include advice on staying hydrated, how to minimise risks and what to do in the event of someone being unwell.
Copies of the posters, postcards and leaflets can be obtained by contacting Forward Leeds on 0113 887 2477 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
