Forward Leeds are supporting Dry January as a public health campaign in 2018.

We are encouraging the general public to feel the benefits of a month off alcohol.

There are many benefits to a month not drinking.

People feel better, sleep better, lose weight and gain pounds in their pocket. They also find they have the time to try different activities with the additional energy they have gained.

As well as a series of social media post on Twitter and Facebook, four members of staff at Forward Leeds have decided to take up the challenge and they will be blogging about how it is going on our Who is Doing Dry January pages.

Dry January is run by Alcohol Concern and it is a campaign supported by Public Health England.

Part of the reason behind it is to drives a conversation about alcohol: why do we drink it, what does it do, and how can we reduce the harm it can cause?
